Leanne and Lincoln

There is something about yellow at a wedding (today’s chic Yarra Valley celebration has the most incredible yellow floral arrangements Wunderplant) which I quite simply adore. Yellow is all about happiness and weddings with yellow? Well it just makes sense! I love the mood of Leanne and Lincoln, captured by Two Girls with a Camera. Plenty of yellow, plenty of sum streaming golden light and you guessed it- plenty of happiness!

Leanne tells their story. “We met at high school and had always been really good friends, I moved to the UK for about 3 years and we kept in touch and when I came back things just developed I guess distance must have made the heart grow fonder!”

Leanne chose a beautiful gown had hairpiece from Melbourne designer Anna Campbell. Her bridesmaids wore gowns in shades of grey from White Runway. Leanne remarks, “My dream wedding dress – I LOVED my Anna Campbell dress and accessories.”

Each flowergirl wore a flower crown by Wunderplant.

Leanne and Lincoln chose Yarra Valley winery Zonzos at Train Trak Winery, Yarra Glen for their wedding. Leanne explaining, “We wanted to have a relaxed rustic themed winery wedding and Zonzo’s was absolutely perfect from the moment we got there we knew it was the place we wanted to get married at, plus we love the Yarra Valley. We had our ceremony at the same venue on the lawn overlooking the vines. We were so lucky with the weather and it was great that our guests were able to enjoy drinks and canapés straight after the ceremony.”

Leanne remarks, “I rode to the ceremony in my dad’s 1920’s Dodge that he has been restoring ever since I can remember. He always said he would have it ready for my wedding day and it was perfect!”

The couple’s beloved dog made the ceremony, in spirit! Leanne tells, “We really wanted to include our dog Kobe in the wedding however he is a little hyperactive so we had a life size cut out so he could be ring bearer and stand up the front with the boys it was nice to include him in some way as he is like our baby!”

Leanne walked down the aisle to Rebecca Ferguson “Nothing’s Real About Love”.

Maree Livy performed the ceremony. Leanne telling, “Maree, our celebrant, put together a fun, light hearted ceremony which perfectly reflected us as a couple!”

Of their photographers, Leanne tells, “Our photographers were Morganna & Georgia from ‘Two Girls with a Camera’. They did such an amazing job of catching all the best moments. We absolutely love the photos and I cannot stop showing everyone!!”

Celebrations continued inside the winery’s restaurant – Zonzos at Train Trak Winery, Yarra Glen. Leanne noting, “All the staff at Zonzo’s we cannot thank enough. Myself and Lincoln were never without a cold drink in our hand and everyone raved about the food!”

Of their florist Wunderplant, Leanne tells, “Amy from Wunderplant was amazing she used the exposed beams in the venue to hang bottles with flowers and used vintage jars and crates for the ceremony flowers. I was blown away when we walked in!”

“We made our own wishing well, using a vintage suitcase and the chalkboard name tags, we had a DIY photo booth and had made a cork board using recycled wood for guests to snap a pic and leave us a message.”

Of their first dance, Leanne remembers, “Our first dance was to ‘Horses’ by Daryl Braithwaite which may be a little bogan haha, but I had gone to see him in concert at Barwon Heads a couple of years back and when he played Horses, I decided to ring Lincoln and sing it to him. I am not the greatest singer and I was a couple of drinks down so it was pretty terrible, however it kind of became our song and we always belt it out whenever it is on the radio!”

Congratulations Leanne and Lincoln on your marriage. Thank you to Two Girls With a Camera for sharing the images with us today.
