Dotties! It’s your turn, we know how good you are at finding things, hunting things down and sharing vendors and so with that being said, March Desperately Seeking is here and packed full of help required!
if you’d like your query to be posted in our June Desperately Seeking, just get in touch!
Bride #1 is looking for wet weather ceremony options in Sydney CBD and North Sydney locations!
Bride #2 is looking wedding venue in Sydney which allows for external catering as they are planning a gluten free wedding (and it’s important everything is safe!). They’re looking for any type of venue – whether it be a blank canvas, garden, barn or traditional venue.
Bride #3 is looking for some summer weight, light grey trousers for a page boy (about a size 4) in New Zealand or Australia.
Bride #4 for a live band in Sydney for reception entertainment that’s a little alternative, a little folksy (NOT country), a little rocky, a little mandolin-banjo playing – think Mumford and Sons, really.
Dotties can you help our brides in need?
Bride #2 – I’ve pretty much been doing the same kind of search as you have over the last month or so. Here are the ones that I’ve looked at:
– My favourite was the Mosman Art Gallery. Very affordable and full kitchen facilities. We would have booked this venue if the groom hadn’t wanted a beach wedding! http://mosmanartgallery.org.au/about/venue-hire
– Another one that we nearly went with is the Bayview Yacht Racing Association hall – http://www.byra.org.au/events/function_room.php
– Other yacht or rowing clubs
– Surf life saving clubs
– Council Town Halls (pick a town council and just look under “venues for hire” or something similar on their website – the inner west town halls and the beach suburb ones are pretty nice)
– Privately owned art galleries
Hope you find somewhere you like! 🙂
Hi bride#2
Parramatta Town Hall is a gorgeous venue & you can self cater.
Cabramatta is an awesome spot to look for page boy trousers and anything really for a good price for Bride #3. But just take into account that some of the sizes are from Asia. So just check or bring along a standard sized trousers from a different store for comparison.
For bride #1 rain is something we can’t plan but here are a few options in Sydney:
– The Oak Barrel Bottle Shop
– The Observatory Hill has a rotunda section if wet weather strikes!
– The Fountain Garden is perfect for outdoor ceremonies but if the weather changes, Officers Mess a historical building is a perfect spot to shelter the ceremony.
Hope this helps!
