Bianca and Ben
A fun engagement shoot with a 1920’s vintage vibe to it! Coming to us from photographer Hilary Cam and set amongst the bushland of the Blue Mountains, I love that the vintage inspiration is there, but doesn’t take away anything from the story of Bianca and Ben.
They explain, “Inspired by the 1920s, the Great Gatsby and flapper dancers they pulled together a fantastic vintage theme for their engagement shoot. The pre wedding is shot in the Blue Mountains around an old abandoned sandstone mansion. Together we like driving to mansions in the middle of no-where, walking where the car won’t drive for a photographic adventure. The sun had set by the end of the shoot and we had to hike back to the cars in pitch country dark, through overgrown muddy trails in icy mountain air. Fun? We think so!”
Ben and Bianca tell their stories. “They met at a house party of mutual friends, Bianca wasn’t immediately impressed but Ben was persistent. It wasn’t until four years later that their paths crossed again at another party and this time Ben got the girl.”
Of the proposal, Ben & Bianca tell, “Ben organised a cocktail engagement party at a venue in Balmain which is a pretty standard thing to do……except Ben hadn’t yet proposed to Bianca and she had no idea about any of it. Being a designer, Ben designed the engagement ring himself and had it made by an expert craftsman (and prayed Bianca would like it). With the help of his friends and family the scene was set for Bianca to walk in to her OWN surprise engagement party! She had completely no idea and it was one of the best nights of their lives. Oh yeah and she said yes- and love loves the ring!”
They say, “Bianca loves that Ben is always making her laugh and being silly whilst Ben loves the fact that Bianca is so genuine and caring. The fact that she is hot helps as well!”
“Ben and Bianca always like to do something a little quirky and different from the norm. They love the 1920’s and everything that the decade stood for in history, so with the guidance of Hilary and Nicola, they set up a brilliant scene in the blue mountains with castle ruins and some beautiful natural elements and managed to get some really magical photos.”
Wow! That bride looks amazing and vintage. The photos of the couple with the sky in the background are stunning, too.
Gorgeous photos, stunning setting!
Lovely. That purple dress is a stunner too!
What an awesome looking engagement session!
