Thi and James
I did a double take as I was working through the images of Thi and James’ wedding. Surely it must be in Bali? Or a tropical Island? Nope, this beautiful wedding took place on Queensland’s Sunshine Coast, but could easily be mistaken for a far flung destination with it’s relaxed beauty.
Thi tells the story. “James and I met in Sydney during my two week visit/holiday from London where I had been living and working for 6 years. Luckily, my trip was extended as I was grounded due to the Icelandic volcanic ash, which allowed Jamie and I to spend another week together. That extra week was crucial as we knew there was something quite special between us by the time I had to board the plane. ”
Photos today are by Hannah Millerick Photography who has captured the relaxed, summery feel of today’s wedding!
Thi wore a Jenny Packham wedding gown.
Thi and James were married at Spirit House, Yandina.
Thi recalls, “Special moment of wedding day was as soon as we were announced as husband and wife, my younger sister who has down syndrome jumped off her seat to give us both a hug. It was very sweet of her and brought much laughter and cheer in the crowd.”
Of their photographer, Thi says “It was a pleasure working with Hannah Millerick. She was easy-going, understanding of moments I couldn’t “hide the crazy” tiredness. She got along well with people and was generally fantastic to work with. ”
The reception was held at a private family home in Mons.
Thi says, ” We had lots of overseas guests and interstate guests who flew in from afar to make the day even more special. ” The flowers, styling, setup and catering was all taken care of by First Class Function.
The couple chose a lamington wedding cake for guests to enjoy.
Congratulations Thi and Mark! Thank you for sharing your wedding day with us! Thank you also to Hannah Millerick Photography for sharing today’s photographs!
Looks Fab!
I love your wedding cake and would like to get a cake stand like it but I have been unable to find one. Can you let me know where I might get one?
