Happy Monday Dotties! What did you get up to over the weekend?
Monday morning means a spotlight on our fantastic members of Ms Polka Dot’s Directory
Do take a look and check out our bridal gown designers, our cinematographers, our photographers, our stylists and every other type of wedding vendor you could think of! We love what they do here at Polka Dot Bride and would love to hear your stories of using them!
Our vendor of the week this week is a little multi talented. Not only do they take beautiful wedding photography, they produce beautiful wedding films and the best part? They even provide fantastic wedding tunes! Let me introduce you to The White Tree. With crews in Sydney & Melbourne, the three brilliant services they offer allow them to put together a customised, package for your wedding or event (pick one service, two or all three!). The White Tree is all about individuality- so don’t box them into “vintage” or “Classic”, they believe every event is different and produce work to reflect the style of the couple and their celebration. They hold regular showcase gigs so you can hear their music live, their photography packages are based on moments, not set hours and their film ? It can include a cinematic show reel and two filmmakers. Phew, they must be busy bees (I am just thinking about it!)
To get to know the team a little better, we asked James from The White Tree five questions in five minutes –
What is your favourite after five drink?
A beer…unexciting I know.
Your favourite weekend getaway?
It’s pretty tricky having a weekend getaway in our industry. But if it happens, I’d have to say Tasmania…in peak winter. Driving, walking or riding around Tassie is awesome.
Favourite restaurant?
Long Grain – takes Thai food to a different level (it’s in Sydney and Melbourne). Or Chin Chin – another Thai infused restaurant in Melbourne.
What can we find you eating for breakfast on a Sunday morning?
The full breakfast at any cafe in Sydney or Melbourne – so toast, bacon, eggs, mushroom, spinach, tomato, sausage, potato rosti and avocado.
Your favourite wedding story?
Probably describing the music at a wedding we were at last year. The groom was the keys player from The Cat Empire. The venue was at Sun Studios in Sydney and it had an awesome relaxed atmosphere. Half of the guests were some of Australia’s best musicians and after the bridal dance, it turned into one continuous jam for around 5 hours straight. The dance floor was packed the entire time and around 50 different musicians got up to play throughout the night. Heaps of fun!
