It’s Polka Dot Sneak Peek time! Which means it’s time to dish the dirt with me and fellow Dotties and share your wedding plans!
Your wedding venue sets the tone for your wedding day- a beach wedding with bures and sand under foot means one thing- destination holiday and cocktails are at hand! An urban city ballroom calls for elegance and a hidden chapel in the rainforest conjures up images of a secret garden. So tell me dear Dotties, where are you getting married? Where are you celebrating? Share the links and photos of your wedding venues!
our gorgeous ceremony and accomodation venue http://www.fernbankfarmstay.com/
Gosh that is beautiful Stacey! I love the chandeliers! Where on the property are you having your ceremony and reception?
We think we are going to have the ceremony infront of the gazebo, but we havent decided 100% yet. There are so many places there! Its hard to decide on one. The reception is actually elsewhere as everyone will be travelling for the wedding and we needed to find a location with alot of places to stay for the weekend. The homestead only sleeps 8 and there is nothing close by. Its just for the bridal party.
The gazebo would make a gorgeous backdrop to the ceremony! Where is your reception?
Our ceremony and reception venue, a converted school house circa 1815, over looking Kiama’s Harbour and with views of the lighthouse. We cant wait!

Ooo Kerrie are you going to have photos near the blowhole?
Are you having the ceremony and reception in the same building? I’m loving the gardens and water side outlook of your venue!
Yes Polka Dot- at the lighthouse/ blowhole and then around some of the historic building in the area. Not to mention (weather permitting) on Black Beach- I love the contrast of the rocks/ and formal attire.
Reception at Simmer on the Bay @ Walsh bay. Ceremony will be on the pier area outside the venue 🙂
Ooo I love Simmer On The Bay (since I saw this wedding actually! http://www.polkadotbride.com/2012/03/claire-and-kezs-fun-harbourside-wedding/) I love the juxtaposition of the harbour and the industrial corrugated iron! So sophisticated!
Yes we fell in love with it as soon as we walked in. Going for an informal party feel so should be perfect!
Ceremony – Newstead Park on the river in Brisbane and Reception on 27m yacht – Pure Adrenalin http://www.pureadrenalin.com.au
So exciting!!
Ah that sounds fantastic! Do your guests know about the reception venue or are you surprising them? What a palce to be when the sun goes down!
I know – will be so pretty. Guests don’t know all the details – just that the reception will continue from the park. I love a good surprise 🙂
I was secretly hoping you’d say that!

Yay I’m so glad you booked Summerfields! Can’t get over the Cape Cod gorgeousness of that venue! Squeal away!
Whats next on your list?
Hi Polka Dot! We are getting married at HMAS Watson’s Chapel – and having the reception at Dunbar House in Watsons Bay in Sydney – I’m am excited!
Hi Kelly! Dunbar House is gorgeous and I just looked up Watsons Chapel and my gosh it looks stunning! I haven’t seen it before and the views over the Tasman look like it’ll make it really magical!
A little late responding to this one but we are having our ceremony at Shore Chapel and reception is at Zest at the Spit in Mosman, can’t wait! 🙂
We’re having our wedding in December 2013 at Milton Park in the Southern Highlands 🙂
The ceremony will be held on the Tulip lawn out in the gardens in the estate. It’s beautiful because there is a secret path under a giant weeping beech tree to get to the location.
The reception will be in the Orangerie which has a slight french provonical feel, but my theme is more etheral chic based around the beautiful peony flower 🙂
I could go on for ages, I love weddings and wedding planning! xo
