if you’d like your query to be posted in our June Desperately Seeking, just get in touch!
Bride #1 is looking for a hair and makeup artist in Melbourne, who will travel to the Yarra Valley area and who uses mineral makeup.
Bride #2 desperately seeking stores inĀ the Gold Coast (preferably) or south Brisbane areas that sell junior bridesmaid dresses (child size 10) that don’t cost an arm and a leg!
Bride #3 is in Perth, Western Australian and is looking for burlap (hessian) table runners! or table cloths! She has seen them in the USA but shipping cvosts are proving prohibitive.
Bride #4 is looking for a venue in Western Australia near Armadale. She wants to find an economical venue where she is able to set up a “vintage fair” style wedding complete with bouncy castle, bobbing for apples, dance floor , outdoor reception style with hay bales for seating etc ! They have the equipment but can’t find the venue! They’re looking at a February 2013 wedding date.
Can you help our Dotties? Leave a comment with what you find!
Bride #3 have you thought about making your own? We did this for my cousins wedding buying hessian on a big roll from Spotlight of even a farm supply store and cut it. I imagine you could hem it too!
Bride #1 – try the girls at Emika Hair & Beauty (www.emika.com.au). They’re in Chirnside Park, but Emma and Katie travelled all the way to South Coast NSW for our wedding so I’m sure they’d travel to the Yarra Valley š and they use Young Blood mineral make up.
Bride # 2 – try Forever New. They stock ladies size 4 which we put my 11 year old step daughter in as a junior bridesmaid. She felt grown up like a bridesmaid without looking too old for her age.
Bride # 3 – If you can, make your own, it’s so much cheaper! Source hessian from an upholstery supplier/wholesaler because it’s $2-$3 cheaper per metre than Spotlight. And slice it up with your bridesmaids or Mum š (Alternatively, I have 10 x 40cm wide x over 2m long hessian table runners that I’m more than happy to pass on if you like!)
Hi I am having a hessian themed wedding and am having 10 rectangle tables! do you still have the table runners?
Did you manage to source these anywhere? I’m also looking for the same!
Do u still have your table runners in hessian. Would be happy to purchase.
Mary
Bride #4 – I’m not overly familiar with Armadale. But try Araluen. Or a local Golf Club, or even sporting ground. We were looking at a sporting ground in Guildford for our wedding, but the time of year we wanted meant the ground was near flooded. But they were more than willing to let us hire the grounds. No harm in asking around! Try looking up in the hills a little to find something more secluded. Even small wineries, up in the Bickley Valley.
Bride #4, try contacting the Armadale Visitors Centre (near the Harvey Norman store). They have a huge knowledge of the area, particularly all the venues.
Bride # 3 – Visit http://www.dontforgetthedetails.com.au – hessian table runners are available in various or custom lengths!
