Nicole & Tim

Brisbane, you are certainly putting on a beautiful show for us lately with the stunning weddings coming through our inbox. From urban and modern, to vintage and eclectic! Nicole and Tim combined a classic, traditional mood with a hint of old world Hollywood glamorous for a beautiful Brisbane wedding day.

Nicole tells the story of her and Tim. “We met in Year 9 at high school, we were friends throughout and then lost contact after Uni. We reconnected by chance at a friend’s house party the same month we both moved back to Brisbane from Interstate and Overseas. Tim proposed on our three year anniversary at Montrachet, Paddington.”

Photos today are by Naomi V Photography. Naomi has captured such a vintage mood with her photographs and so many different, interesting backgrounds to her photographs!

The Powder Room styled Nicole and her bridesmaid’s hair and makeup.

Nicole wore a satin slip gown with lace overlay by Hilde Heim. She had her jewels made by a dear friend. Nicole explains “My incredible friend Carly Fergusson made my cuff. She found an amazing brooch at an antique store and then used pearls to match my earrings around the band. She did a beautiful job and it’s got such sentimental value to me now!!” The Flower Man styled Nicole’s black and white bouquet and the wedding floral arrangements.

Tim and his groomsmen wore suits from Hugo Boss.

Nicole walked down the aisle of St Stephen’s Cathedral  with her father to Pachelbel’s “Canon in D”. She recalls ” I was incredibly proud to be accompanied down the aisle by my Dad, who has MS. He later gave a beautiful speech at the reception. ”

Nicole and Tim were married by Father Bryan Roe.

Nicole loved “Sharing the day with so many loved family members and friends! There was no end to the amount of laughter and excitement shared by all! ”

Nicole says “I loved sharing the most amazing day of my life with Tim celebrating the first day of the rest of our lives together as husband and wife was just bliss!! I couldn’t wipe the smile off my face!!”

The large bridal party made the day even more fun. Nicole explains “We had six groomsmen and one bridesmaid (the Bride’s sister). The “mob” made the photos such a hoot! We have photos of us all pulling these fun poses which are a great talking point for everyone who see’s them!!”

Of their photographer Nicole says,  “Naomi is the most fun and inspired photographer! We outlined what style of photography we were interested in and she listened to everything we requested and made it happen! Naomi discovered locations which we didn’t even know existed in Brisbane and created opportunities for amazing and candid shots while we walked through the Brisbane CBD!!! I can’t sing her praises enough!!”

To get around, Nicole and Tim hired a 1936 Dodge Limousine from KenzClassic Cars.

Nicole and Tim held their reception at Customs House.

A traditional style, three tier wedding cake was created by Cakes By Judy C. The speeches were a beautiful part of the reception for Nicole, who remarks “I loved the funny and heartfelt speeches throughout the night, and then topping it all off with the dancing!”

Congratulations on your wedding Nicole and Tim! Thank you for sharing it with us! Thank you also to Naomi V Photography for sharing today’s photographs!
