I have the most scrumptious inspiration shoot for you today. Jennifer Gifford Designs collaborated with ngg studios and Imbue Weddings to shoot her new collection and it turned into the most beautiful collection of photos of beautiful table settings, scrumptious florals and of course, gorgeous gowns.
Jennifer tells the story of how such a beautiful shoot came to be. “The collaboration shoot at Albert River Wines started with a Bride. Sally came to me with an idea of incorporating a stunning piece of lace she found on a trip to Paris into the design of her wedding gown.As you can imagine it was right up my alley and so began the journey with Sally to create the most beautiful gown of soft, crushed, blush, silk chiffon, silk satin, hail spot tulle and beautiful French lace. It was a wonderful gown to create for Sally and I eagerly awaited the photos from her big day.
When I finally saw Sally and Fraser’s wedding photo’s I immediately contacted Brett and Kristie from ngg studios to compliment them on their work. Their photos captured the uniqueness of Sally and Fraser’s wedding day and the images really spoke to me.
I was planning on doing a photo shoot for my new range of affordable made to wear gowns and I felt immediately that ngg studios could capture the look I wanted perfectly. Kristie and Brett were wonderful and not only were they as equally enthusiastic as I was but they were full of suggestions including using Albert River Wines as the venue and Imbue Weddings to Style the photo shoot and so the collaboration began and we set a date, Sunday September 11th 2011.”
“The rest just flowed on from there; I am very blessed to have some rather beautiful friends so all the models were fairly easy to find, including Casey who was a last minute ring in and the little sister of Kristy from Imbue Weddings. We even roped in three handsome young men to help, who were dressed by the wonderful people from Always Habit in Paddington. Other friends and industry veterans including Tracie Weaver, Justin Thomas and Summa Scarlet came forward to help with hair and makeup and the day was all set to go.
Everyone did the most incredible job leading up to September 11th and on the day it was pure magic!”
“Kristy from Imbue Weddings styled the whole event with the most beautiful flowered head pieces, bouquets of stunning blooms and the most romantic table setting. She also brought in some amazing furniture including the most gorgeous chaise lounge which really captured the romantic feel of the shoot.”
“The weather was perfect and Albert River Wines proved to be the ideal setting. With historic buildings full of beautiful period furniture, to the expansive and stunning grounds there were so many places to create some pretty unforgettable images. They even have a Rolls Royce that you can use in your wedding photos and some resident animals including Pony’s, goats, a pig, chooks and a Peacock! Kandy, the functions manager was fantastic and couldn’t have been more helpful and supportive.”
“We were also very lucky to have Adrian Pagano come to film behind the scenes on the day and he has produced the most beautiful little film set to the original Jazz instrumental, composed and performed by local musician Adam Connelly. I can’t wait to share it with everyone.”
“All in all it was the most wonderful day made possible by a great bunch of incredibly creative and lovely people who made the whole experience really wonderful and truly unforgettable. I think the photos speak for themselves.
Imbue do lovely work but don’t expect them to return your call..guess they are not interested in new business!
Kristie and Shay have just had a baby girl and moved house. Perhaps they will be returning calls once things settle down a little.
