I want to take a moment this morning to pause and reflect on this time ten years ago. Although the 11th was yesterday in Australia, it really wasn’t until the 12th for us when the news started hitting our US friends. So today, I want to take a breath and say-we will never forget. New York is always in my heart.

It’s Monday morning which means a spotlight on Ms Polka Dot’s Directory! To learn a little more about Danicia Dutry Ceremonies we asked Danicia five questions in five minutes!

What is your favourite after 5 drink?

After 5 drink would have to be the Kalleske Moppa – a red that warms me to my toes.

Your favourite weekend getaway?

I just love Rottnest Island (WA) winter or summer. It just brings out my inner child and is filled with so many memories.

Favourite restaurant?

Well technically a bar where you can eat the burgers from next door but hanging out with Mrs Brown in North Fremantle is one of my favourite activities.

What can we find you eating for breakfast on a Sunday morning?

You would find me at our family table eating porridge before we rush out the door to Auskick with my young lads.

Your favourite wedding story?

Sitting on Geographe Bay on a bright orange kayak in a turquoise kaftan on a magically calm day with a lovely couple and their witnesses anchored on their own separate kayaks. The groom had designed his own floating coconut shell with ribbons to keep the rings securely attached until they were safe on fingers. His bride looked so amazing in her white sarong with orchards in her hair. I loved watching the groom brush away his tears and curse the sunscreen in his eyes as he watched her come over the sand dune and down to her kayak. Not too many grooms could blame the sunscreen!!
