Serena and Paolo

I don’t normally post engagement sessions during the week (they’re our Saturday treat) but I really want to mix it up today with this fun, silent film inspired engagement from Luciana Ognibene of Fibre di luce in Italy!

Luciana explained the thought behind Serena and Paolo’s engagement photographs. “Serena and Paolo wanted something unique and very original, both romantic and ironic. So we studied together the old silent films frames, with a special attention to framing, lighting, posing and expressions. We’ve been inspired by Greta Garbo and Rodolfo Valentino, but also by Charles Chaplin and Ettore Petrolini (a popular Italian ‘900 comedy actor). To crown it all in a complete retro silent film fashion, we’ve added also some dialogues. Let’s add some ragtime piano…”
