Good morning Polka Dot Bridettes and groomettes, and vendorettes and already marriedettes (I spy with my little eye..) Did you have a lovely weekend?

It’s time for our Monday morning ritual – pouring love on Ms Polka Dot’s Directory! I love when our polka dot teacup randomly selects a vendor each week! I get to rave about our Directory members who help us grow Polka Dot Bride and help us get the right people on board so that we can bring you fresh and Australian content every single day of the week. Visit Ms Polka Dot’s Directory and support our vendors – by supporting them, you’re supporting us (and no doubt finding a vendor who is incredibly good at what they do!)

I’m really, really excited to introduce you to this week’s vendor of the week Robert Hock Photography. The first “Inspired Wedding” I ever featured was captured by Robert so he’s played a special role in Polka Dot Bride history! Robert epitomises “Melbourne” with his photography. His work is very stylish, very chic and with a touch of humour- which to me is all Melbourne!

Robert has years of experience, having studied a Masters in Fine Arts Photography and travels all over the world – including Germany to shoot weddings and exhibit his work. Plus he believes in brilliant customer service – which with a wedding photographer is so essential!

To learn a little more about Robert Hock Photography we asked Robert five questions in five minutes!

What is your favourite after five drink?

After five I’m often meeting my clients so the drinks I have with them are more on the harmless side 🙂 I love my sparkling mineral water with lime (somebody told me it is a very European to drink and being from Germany myself I don’t mind hearing that, lol)

Your favourite weekend getaway?

Weddings are usually my weekend getaways, and when they’re out of the city at a beautiful place with trees and fresh air they feel like an exciting holiday to me, too…

Favourite restaurant?

Love Asian cuisine, fresh vegies and healthy snacks, always try to explore new places to eat out…

What can we find you eating for breakfast on a Sunday morning?

Favourite cafe is Chimmey’s on Bridge Road in Richmond, they also make the best bread there. If I photograph a Sunday wedding I’ll usually have something hearty for breakfast (German style) that’ll keep me going all day …

Your favourite wedding story?

There are so many beautiful weddings that I had the privilege to be part of. I love the ones best where the bride and groom just enjoy themselves and the people they are sharing the day with. I think it’s always the people in you life that matter the most and a wedding is the perfect opportunity to celebrate the love and friendship you are sharing with your partner and all the other special people in your life.
