Looking for a NSW or ACT rustic wedding venues? Well I’m updating the lists (QLD You’re next!) and this time, I’ve explored every nook and crevice of NSW to try and find the most gorgeous, most beautiful and most stunning rustic wedding venues for you! They’re not quite a barn, but they’re distinctly Australian!

Belgenny Farm

Belgenny Farm is located just outside of Camden. The Granary can seat up to 200 guests with exposed beams and posts dotted throughout the building. Visit the Belgenny Farm website for more information.

The Great Cask Hall – Hope Estate

Hope Estate’s The Great Cask Hall allows you and your guests to dine amongst the beautiful wine barrels. Located in the Hunter Valley wine region, the venue can hold 200 guests next to 45000 litres of wine. For more information, visit The Great Cask Hall website..

Midginbil Hill

With capacity for up to 120 guests with on site camping & accommodation, Midginbil Hill is a working cattle station with a barn on site perfect for holding a wedding. There’s even a pot belly stove! Visit the Midginbil Hill website for more information.

Buttai Barn

Buttai Barn can hold up to 300 guests and is located north west of Newcastle. They’re used to holding functions with their frequent bush dances and fun nights out so they’re equipped for weddings! Visit the Buttai Barn website for more information.

Tocal Homestead

Located 15 minutes drive north of Maitland, Tocal Homestead has a capacity for 100 guests in their Heritage Hay Shed and extra can be accommodated on the third floor or in the outdoors area which is perfect for a marquee. Visit the Tocal Homestead website for more information.

Peppers Creek Barrel Room

Peppers Creek Barrel Room is located right beside the Peppers Creek sandstone chapel. it features an open fireplace, high ceilings and massive doors. Located in the Hunter Valley, the venue has a capacity for 200 guests  Visit the Peppers Creek Barrel Room website for more information.

Vicary’s Winery

Vicary’s Winery Woolshed dates back to the 1890s and holds the history- with the addition of a fresh new dance floor for your celebration! Located just 15kms south of Penrith. Visit the Vicary’s Winery website for more information.

Riverwood Downs

Located at the foothills of the Barrington Tops, Riverwood Downs has a woolshed on the property which can cater to a wedding. The venue can hold small groups or 100 and more. Sydney Polo Club

Sydney Polo Club has a mass of sandstone pavilions, barns and even a grandstand available for function hire. Located in Richmond, the polo club sits right on the river overlooking the Blue Mountains. Visit the Sydney Polo Club website for more information.

Bawley Bush Cottages

Grazing Restaurant, Royal Hotel

Nothing says rustic wedding venue like having your wedding in restored stables! Grazing Restaurant at the Royal Mail Hotel in Gundaroo allows functions i their stables featuring high stone walls and high pitched roof. Mulloon Creek Natural Farms

A bio dynamic farm for your wedding? with a barn? I have the venue for you! East of Canberra, this bio dynamic farming venture is providing access for future generations to learn about organic farming while having fun doing it!     i grew up in camden and belgenny farm is a lovely venue. there are plenty of locations for great photos. natalie from farmer wants a wife shoots her segments there. it is beautiful and worth a look.

    My husband and I had our wedding at Grazing in November last year – it really is the most beautiful place! The food and service was outstanding and the grounds of Grazing itself and the country surrounds are simply breathtaking!

    I live in the upper Blue Mountains (NSW) and have been searching high and low for something local with rustic charm, but so far it’s been pretty fruitless. Thank you for showing me some other options (albeit not in my own backyard :)!)

      I am looking for a rustic wedding venue in the mountains as well. Did you end up finding anything suitable? Mine is going to be a challenge as I need something big enough for 300 people! Any tips would be great!
