For fear of cringing, I am one that completely loves Valentine’s Day. Valentine’s Day to me is never about expensive jewellery or endless flowers (though they’re all nice). It’s homemade, quirky tokens of love you don’t really get an excuse to give any other time of the year (because a mug with a perfectly gorgeous phrase is just not Mr Polka’s cup of teas (I really didn’t mean to write that pun, but it happened so go with it!) as much as it is on a day full of roses and commercial hoo-ha.

I love to bake cupcakes and ice them in lurid pink, give a print with a fun saying, make toast with red love hearts and just spend time with my loved ones (friends included!) so now I proudly present my 2011 Valentine’s Day gift guide!
