Natasha and Jeremy
A complete stunner for you today- beautiful elegant details and the understated Australian glamour that everyone loves.
Natasha and Jeremy met six years before they married – the bridesmaid found the best man was the best man for her. It took a few meetings for the couple to realise their future though- the moment it happened? When Jeremy took a mint off Natasha’s hand while watching a movie. The elusive spark was finally felt.
Today’s photographs are by Lauren Waye who has captured today’s celebration so beautifully. Lauren has an original style and unique perspective on viewing moments – one she shares in every image she captures!
Natasha wore a pleated gown with a gold beaded bolero from Gwendolynne Burkin with shoes from Sempre Di. She carried a bouquet of deep purple call lilies by her mother Flowers by Nahid and wore the Lubin “Gin Fizz” perfume from Peony Melbourne.
Natasha and Jeremy saw each other for the first time with only their photographer and close family nearby. Natasha says this was one of her favourite moments of the day.
Jeremy wore a Zegna suit.
Natasha and Jeremy recreated the illustration Natasha drew (featured on Polka Dot Bride earlier today). The couple holding the balloon was printed on the wedding stationery, bunting and even menus.
Natasha and Jeremy loved having their photos taken – locations even included the supermarket where she first professed her love for Jeremy, while choosing apples! She says “OUR PHOTO SHOOT WAS INCREDIBLE, fast-paced, natural and fun. The places we chose allowed us to reminisce in the early development of our relationship.”
The couple even had photos taken at their favourite coffee shop.
Natasha and Jeremy married on a limestone balcony at Victoria Gardens. Natasha decorated the area with 30 handmade bunting flags and walked down the aisle to “What A Difference A Day Makes” by Dinah Washington.
The Persian rugs were a nod to Natasha’s heritage and one of the many details she had carefully thought out for the day. Natasha says ” Our ceremony was pretty magical and I managed to get a laugh out of the guests (such a comedian). The ceremony was the pinnacle of all the effort and it was worth it.”
Natasha was living in East Perth when Jeremy came into her life and it was her wish to walk with her guests from the ceremony to the reception – so the couple held their ceremony and reception close by and everything “just fit”.
Natasha and Jeremy held their reception at Lamonts in East Perth . Natasha says “I am an avid foodie, the menu had to be spectacular and it was”. As a nod to their history and “first spark” each guest received a box of mints. The centrepieces were all styled by Natasha’s mum (Flowers By Nahid). Each was different and all were created from fruits and vegetables. The illustration was also carried through to the menus.
Natasha describes their first dance as “Close, romantic and non choreographed”. They danced to Al Green’s “Let’s Stay Together”.
Thank you to Natasha and Jeremy for sharing their beautiful wedding day with us today! Thank you also to Lauren Waye Photographer who shared today’s photographs with us!
What a beautiful set of images, I love all the unique details and the location phtos!
How special to have a mum with the talent and eye to create such interesting and beautiful arrangements for the tables. Beautiful wedding.
The dress! The bolero! Those gorgeous lillies! Just such very, very gorgeous indeed (I love that it’s just a bit different to anything I’ve seen before, without being all themed and over-the-top). But it’s the photos in the supermarket that completely made this one of my favourite sets of wedding photos ever – loved reading about this couple!
This is a really quirky shoot, gorgeous! Love the shots on the bikes!
Lovely! What a dress… 🙂
Very cool!! Love the supermarket shots.
Wow Natasha, what a beautiful wedding. All the extra details, all the time and effort… totally love the bunting flags – you did an amazing job. I too wore a Gwendolynne gown and as soon as I saw your dress I was drawn! It looked amazing on you, it sets such a lovely tone to your whole day! Loved your quirky shoot too – have fun choosing for your album! xx
