Dandi is a gorgeous Sydney based company that create really gorgeous fabrics – a lot of them inspired by nature. These are turned into stylish homewares including vintage 50s style aprons, tablecloths, tote bags, napkins and even oven mitts. Even their new bamboo crockery is stylish and environmentally friendly!

I’ve been a fan of Dandi for a while now as I really love their fresh, stylish designs (plus they’re Australian and I love that!) so I was thrilled when one of the designers Leezar shared with me a wedding that featured Dandi napkins.
Manuela works for Dandi as a designer and was recently a bridesmaid at a wedding. She wasn’t just your run-of-the-mill bridesmaid though- the creative genius in her shone out and she hand folded 140 lotus flowers using Dandi napkins (Geo Design- Pink) for the couple to give their guests as wedding favours!
Here is Manuela
Talk about dedication! She folded a napkin for every single guest- all 140 of them!
Lots of pretty pink and white lotus flowers ready for the wedding
The finished product on the wedding day- complete with yummy chocolate inside
A shot of the lotus flowers in their places.
And finally the lovely bride and groom
This is a great favour idea- pretty napkins, chocolates and a lot of patience is all that’s required! If you’d like to learn how to make an origami lotus flower yourself I found a tutorial for you here
Thanks to the girls at Dandi for sharing this DIY project with Polka Dot Bride! You can explore Dandi’s range here and shop through their website
