Monday morning? It’s time for this week’s Vendor Of The Week! Each week we pick a member of Ms Polka Dot’s Directory and give you a little insight into their great businesses!
This week’s Vendor Of The Week is Rita from Victorian florist Blooming Brides! Rita is a second generation florist who not only grew up with flowers but holds over 25 years experience in working with them herself! Rita calls Blooming Brides the “wedding florist for lovers of flowers”. Not only does Rita use unique flowers in fresh and beautiful ways, she also supports local growers in Victoria’s flower growing region of Monbulk- meaning her work is great for the environment and the community as well!

What is your favourite after five drink?
Just about anything that will get me through to six.
Your favourite weekend getaway?
Hanging out at the Dromana boatshed in summer with my boys, an esky, pizza and gelati.
Favourite restaurant?
Thai Food to Go in Chapel Street Windsor. I lived in Prahran for 20 years and ate many, many meals from there. Consistent, delicious, homely Thai food. I miss it so much living in the Dandenongs.
What can we find you eating for breakfast on a Sunday morning?
A bowl of Vietnamese noodle soup from Springvale market. I think I’ve finally found the best Pho in Melbourne and my two year old son is learning the fine breakfast art of soaking up as much dipping sauce on his spring rolls as possible, without bits of chilli. It keeps him amused while we navigate the noodles.
Your favourite wedding story?
Any story that ends with “and they lived happily ever after, thanks to a whole lot of patience, kindness, tolerance and flowers from Blooming Brides”.
