Anna and Danion

It’s a long weekend in Australia (For ANZAC Day. Lest We Forget.) So I thought I’d leave you with this beautiful wedding from Denmark, Western Australia. Anna and Danion were married in Forest Hill Vineyard in Denmark, Western Australia.

Anna says “We tried to use as many local companies as possible – and Etsy! I also wanted my dress and bridesmaid dresses to be made by Australian designers. Many of the details for our wedding were inspired by Polka Dot Bride.”

Anna walked down the aisle at 5pm to a light sprinkling of rain. Her tune of choice? “This Years Love” by David Gray. Anna wore a gown from Matthew Eager with a Rose & Ruby silk flower in her hair. Her bridesmaids wore floor length “Portobello Rose” Rose & Ruby gowns from the Summer 2008 collection.

Instead of a red carpet, Anna decorated the aisle herself with eight paper parasols she sprayed lightly with light gold shimmer and sat them in birdcage like stands.

While Anna and Darion had their photos taken amongst the vines, their guests were served gourmet pizzas in the vineyard’s cellar.

Anna says “We then had a 3 course meal and lots of dancing in the restaurant that overlooked farms and forest. The farmers on the opposite hill said they could hear our wedding from their farm – it was so much fun! The dance floor opened out onto a balcony and everybody was dancing on the balcony.”

With a beautiful chocolate wedding cake made by a local baker passed around during dancing and favors of local treats (toffee from The Toffee Factory and sandalwood bath salts from Mount Romance) and a personal note from the bride and groom, the guests were kept celebrating until well into the night!

Thank you for sharing your beautiful wedding day with us Anna and Danion! Congratulations on your beautiful marriage! Thank you also to Nic Duncan for allowing us to share these sweet photographs today!
