I love anything to do with video at weddings; a well shot video can be a magic memento of the special times in your life.
Allen Mechen and his wife Susan founded Highlight Films after working for the BBC in the UK. They immigrated to Australia where Allen quickly picked up work for major news stations. He brings this professional style to his work and has recently branched into wedding videos, aiming for natural shots in a meaningful location of the couple’s choice.
Your shoot is taken pre-wedding, and is generally scheduled as a weekday session. You might like to let the pictures speak for themselves, using text on screen, emotive music and strong images to show your individuality, or you might choose to take the opportunity to speak to your partner about your hopes and dreams and what you love about each other.

Your ‘Love Story’ video can be used to mark your engagement and could be shown on your wedding day.

I rarely like ‘traditional’ wedding videos. When fiancé and I saw a highlight films clip – love happened. We’re interesting people and want a clip that captures that. We’ve dabbled in filming our scooting adventures, and even bought helmet cameras. But – we are participants, not producers. Share our ‘Vespa love story’.
We were married two weeks ago…it was a perfect day, in part due to the love and support of my sister. She and her fiance did much to help us during the year of our planning, I would love to give this as a present for their upcoming nuptials.
How do I enter… a Love Story video sounds amazing.
Sharing our ‘love story’ film at the wedding would be simply wonderful! More importantly perhaps, marriage is a journey. When we encounter a bumpy road, how precious it would be to watch the film together, sigh and squeeze each others’ hands, remembering all the reasons why we fell in love.
A lot of my family lives overseas and this would be a great way of bringing our engagement and wedding to them in a far more personal way then photos in an envelope or a phone call. That way we can share our story with them and they can feel a part of our day even from 5000 miles away!
Our love story is like an old hollywood movie – we started with a dance in the rain & have been hopeless for each other ever since.
Because it would be great to share this with your kids and grand children. And to show them, how much we really mean to each other. And that from this love, they were the result…
you have a wonderful site!
