Set against the rugged beauty of Central Otago in New Zealand’s South Island, today’s romantic styled shoot is the perfect blend of rustic landscapes and glamorous, sustainable style – all taking place at The Finery in Alexandra.

Captured by the ever-talented Melissa Clark Photography and cinematography by Krista May Weddings, this wedding inspiration shoot showcases the historic region in its stunning late autumnal phase, with snow-capped mountains, pristine lakes and vineyards as far as the eye can see.

Weaving together locally sourced florals grown by With Love Flowers, styled items hired from Wanaka Marquee and Party Hire and luxurious linens from Drape Linen, Ellita from Dream To Wed meticulously planned and styled the perfect romance-filled autumn wedding. Signage was created by the talented Smitten with Love, and the incredible plum-inspired cake was handmade by She Bakes NZ.

The models are dressed in a Laidlaw + Leeds suit and a stunning gown by Margaret Wray Bridal. With jewellery from Jamies Jewellers Alexandra and Hair and Makeup by Charlie Oswin, our bride perfectly matches the sophisticated, romantic styling of the day.

Sustainability was at the heart of everything with this shoot. Floral and decor pieces were all locally grown – including the grapes and plums! Floral foam or plastic wasn’t used for any of the floral displays, with no nasty chemicals used from seed to sprout. With Dream to Wed at the centre of this visionary vendor team, this wedding experience is as unforgettable as the breathtaking landscape itself.
