You know we love a good romance, and really, what is more romantic than love that takes you across the globe? Kim and Charlie had only known each other for less than two years before Charlie took a leap of faith and followed Kim home to Perth… and the rest, as they say, is history!

This duo enlisted Willie Thow Photography to capture these moments, and they couldn’t have been happier with their choice. “Will was so easygoing, understood our vibe completely, and put us at ease,” Kim shared.

For their engagement shoot, Charlie and Kim knew they wanted it to be casual, outdoors and unique. They landed on Perry’s Paddock in Perth as their location – the perfect mixture of unique outdoors they were looking for! “We followed Will’s guidance and trusted him completely, and we were amazed at the outcome!”

This pair met in London, where Charlie grew up and lived and where Kim was living as part of a working holiday. “I had been very clear up front that at the end of my two-year visit, I would return home to Perth. Shocked at having made it this far, Charlie decided to call my bluff and followed me back to Perth. And we’ve been living happily ever after, ever since!”

On a trip to Europe, Kim and Charlie hiked to the top of the Old Town in Ibiza. Here, at the top of the castle, Charlie got down on one knee and asked the all-important question: “Will you marry me?”

Charlie loves how much Kim inspires him to take each day as it comes. He says, “To step outside of my comfort zone and challenge myself, and to believe that we are strong enough to overcome anything that life throws at us. I wouldn’t be the person I am today without Kim. She is unwaveringly loyal, detrimentally selfless, and unfathomably odd. I wouldn’t change her for all the stars in the sky.”

On what Kim loves about Charlie, she shares, “His ambition and drive, his ability to stand firm in his beliefs and that he always carries himself with unwavering confidence. I am more sure of myself and carry myself with more confidence now because of him. He is fully accepting of my quirks and weird habits.”
