Try your hand at this Pastel Heart Candy Flower Centrepiece DIY Tutorial – created just for The Pastel Issue!
What You Will Need:
- Long wooden skewers
- Heart-shaped, pastel candy hearts
- Fresh flowers
- Hot glue gun, scissors
Step One
Empty out all of your heart-shaped sweets and play around with colour combinations. Heat up your hot glue gun (be sure to follow the manufacturer’s instructions) and lay out your skewers. Working quickly, press a small amount of hot glue onto the back of the heart lolly. Press a skewer into the glue firmly, and hold until set. You can use crafting glue if you don’t have a hot glue gun, it will just take longer to set.
Step Two
You can stack loads onto one skewer, or just pop one heart on each. Once the pastel hearts are all stuck onto the skewers, leave them aside to set them properly. Arrange your flowers and add the candy hearts as the last touch.
