Kasey & Walt’s Simply Relaxed & Elegant Elopement is the epitome of minimalist romance! The couple chose to keep things extremely simple when it came to their wedding day. “The relaxed atmosphere that was achieved for the day was an important constant in the preparations,” says Kasey. “Being able to do things the way we wanted, and enjoying every moment of the day with each other!” Their lovely elopement was captured by Leo Farrell and we have fallen so hard for it!
We chose to elope and wanted the day to be relaxed and intimate. The ceremony was at Cliff Road, Shoreham. Being close to home, and in a place that is now very special to us, was important to us for our day.
Our tiny elopement called for just two witnesses (three if you count our lovely little boy)! Having our dear friends with us as our witnesses and seeing them after such a long time was also so special.
I made my own dress, wanting something simple and elegant. The short engagement meant there wasn’t a lot of time to overthink it but long sleeves were necessary for the last weekend in autumn! Walt chose to wear a tuxedo from Ted Baker, complete with an ivory silk bowtie.
Our photographer, Leo Farrell, is incredible! We are spoilt for choice with all of the magnificent photos across the afternoon. Leo’s unobtrusive documentary style was exactly what we were after and we could not be happier with him and his work! Di Kleinert, our celebrant, and Leo made the day relaxed and enjoyable – we are so pleased with both of them and felt completely at ease from the moment we met them.
With family and friends interstate and overseas, we knew that one of the most important things we could do is engage a professional photographer to document our day for them. We are overwhelmed by how beautifully Leo has captured and conveyed our day and feelings to be shared with our loved ones.
Thank you to Kasey & Walt for letting us glimpse their gorgeous elopement! And to Leo Farrell for sharing the stunning images!
