This month we’re celebrating the colour yellow in our Yellow Issue, and there is a LOT to be thankful for! Yellow can be sunny, cheery, citrussy, neon… the list goes on. Lemon yellow conjures up Italian coast vibes and sparkling beverages, an affair that is simple but sophisticated. If you’re looking for a simple wedding DIY, look no further than this Simply Yellow Lemon Name Tag DIY Tutorial. Such an easy way to add colour to your table, and as easy as styling can be – raid your nan’s lemon tree or stock up on citrus from the market. You won’t regret it!
What You Will Need
- Citrus – and lots of it! Enough for one per guest, and more if you’re wanting use them for styling
- Name tags – cut your own or buy pre-cut kraft tags with holes punched
- Twine/ribbon
- Letter stamps and ink
- Scissors
Step One
Check your lemons to make sure they’re clean and sticker free. Remove any squiffy looking fruit. Using your card tags, stamp out guests’ names onto each tag, letting the ink dry thoroughly.
Step Two
Measure how much twine you’ll need to wrap around the lemon several times, then precut twine in the amount you need. Tie it securely around each lemon, attaching one name tag per lemon.
You can make these sweet lemon name tags well in advance of your event – always a bonus! Ensure the tags are dry and not piled on top of each other if storing them in the lead-up to your event.
