What could be a better way to celebrate The Sunshine Coast issue than an editorial and a brand new collection from Queensland designers Bertossi Brides.
Set at beautiful Sunshine Coast wedding venue Flaxton Gardens, the dream team created a fresh, romantic and timeless editorial that showed off the designer’s latest collection.
Created around timeless elegant silhouettes and beautiful fabrics, and beautiful, tailored design, this is a collection that is synonymous with everything we know and love about the Bertossi Brides brand. There are beautiful, classical crepe pieces, sparkling French sequin tulles, shimmering silk organza and soft French laces. Each cut to a classic silhouette, and you can even customise the details – think of adding sleeves, buttons, necklines, even sparkling crystals – so that the gown is made to be truly yours.
Anne, of Bertossi Brides, shared “We are feeling fresh, romantic, timeless weddings, not so many over the top showstopping themes. I feel couples who are getting married at the moment are doing it because they are so in love and they don’t want to wait any more, the marriage is the most important thing so there is a wholesomeness which is a delight to be around.”
And the editorial? Styled by Maple Weddings and Events and captured by Joseph Bertossi and Mears Productions, the romance began with the flowers. Bloom and Bush created a rose-filled floral arbour in tones of vintage apricot, white and blush, to coordinate with beautiful floral centrepieces, just the ticket for the dreamy, candlelit reception. Elegant paper pieces by Bluebird Invitations, tying together the romantic, yet timeless vibes. And elegance is nothing without a little twinkle, am I right? Say It With Lights coming to the party with their lighting skills for the day. Says Anne “We wanted a natural, more organic feel, rambling florals with a Gardenesque feel, almost whimsical. The amazing team we worked with brought this together perfectly for us and the results speak for themselves.”
Our models, in the new collections; gowns, of course, had their looks styled by hairstylist Evalyn Parsons Hair and makeup artist Kate Ellen Makeup Artistry. Sparkling pieces from Stephanie Browne and Myrtle Studio add a little glamour to their looks. Our “groom” donning a classic suit from Black Jacket Suiting that only added to the elegant style. “With the shoot, we wanted to capture the feeling and vibe we felt our brides are looking for at the moment” remarks Anne. “With the covid situation still dominating all of our lives we are not seeing fewer weddings but certainly a simpler, pared-back feel. We are feeling fresh, romantic, timeless weddings, not so many over the top showstopping themes.”
