We delight every Monday over beautiful gowns and today, making their Polka Dot debut, we introduce you to designer Daria Karlozi.
This Ukrainian designer is not new to the wedding scene, has been creating beautiful wedding gowns for years, and the brand new “Mysterious Bosphorus” is a collection designed to embrace on-trend styling, with classic romance.
There are plenty of minimal designs – our utter favourite “Hana” a classic ballgown silhouette, a boned corset bodice adorned with bow-tied shoulder straps, a delicate floral lace skirt beautifully subtle in its detail. There’s also “Khalilah” a stretch satin gown with a corseted seagull neckline and organza draped sleeves. But it is the drama, the decadent detail where Daria Karlozi shines.
Intricate lace features on beautiful gowns like “La Pelligrina”, “Alexia” and “Naia”. There are ruffles aplenty – from necklines to skirts – on “Titania”, and “Lamima”. Dramatic blouson sleeves also feature on gowns like “Arados”, “Basmalina” and “Starastar”. And corset bodices? This collection features many. “Eleni” “Naia” and “La Pellegrina” bring that feel of times gone by, in a beautifully updated way.
Knowing how much today’s wearer loves to customise their own look, the designer has even created a range of pieces to switch up your style. There are beautiful tulle boleros, long lace embellished trains and detachable sleeves, all of which help you make each gown your own, however you please.
In a world where it feels like sometimes we’re all clamouring for the latest and greatest trend, this is a collection that marries old and new, and isn’t that beautifully refreshing?
