"On this occasion, I was capturing a backlit and moody image of Holly & John when John said, 'Let's do some against this wall too.' It was a very different background, but I swung my light around just as John pulled Holly in for an unexpected dip. I probably wouldn't have chosen this background for a shot, but sometimes you have to be ready for anything.

We're pretty sure Darren won the wedding planning negotiations when he secured McDonald's cheeseburgers for the reception! But before the 10 pm cheeseburger delivery, there was an ocean-view ceremony at Terindah Estate, gorgeous pastel florals, classic black tuxedos, a Milla Nova gown and a whole lot of dancing.

Laura from @perlaphotography captured Darren & Belinda's beautiful Bellarine Peninsula celebration, including all the fun bits in between: read their full feature now!

We don’t know if it’s the fully custom floral gown, the Lego flowers, the heartwarming and eye-filling tributes or the whimsical atmosphere, but something about Selina and Declan’s wedding is going to stick with us for a long time.

After all those months (or even years) of planning After all those months (or even years) of planning, your wedding day can pass in the blink of an eye. One minute you're getting ready with your favourite people, and the next you're wondering where the last 12 hours went.

We asked some of our Polka Dot Wedding directory members how couples can create a celebration that feels calmer, more intentional and a little less rushed.

Their advice is a beautiful reminder to leave room to breathe, surround yourself with people who make you feel at ease, focus on the moments that matter most and create little rituals that bring you back to each other.

Because the details are lovely. The flowers, the styling, the stationery, the perfectly planned timeline… But years from now, you'll remember the feeling.

There’s something so classically Canberra in Kasey and Nick’s wedding, but with a dramatic twist we don’t usually get to see. Maybe it was the spotlighted first dance, or the incredible red roses that flowed throughout the space. We think it’s the combination of both + the genuine love pouring out of every single shot captured by @whoshotthephotographer.
