We first met Tamara and Bradon last year, so we couldn’t resist taking over a Saturday to share their super special wedding! The couple fell in love at first sight with their country campground wedding venue, planning a day that embraced the Australian country setting, and most of all, embraced their life together, with all the trimmings.
They invited Sarah of De Lumiere Photography to join them on their day, a day filled with stories filled with handmade details, and most of all, filled with a love story you won’t want to miss.
These two have clearly always been meant to be as they met in primary school! “We meet at school and had an on and off relationship since year five in primary school.” The proposal, like the wedding, with plenty of family and the couple’s favourite people present. “We celebrated Christmas early with some of Tamara’s family, Bradon was handing out all of the gifts, got to what I thought was the last gift – got everyone’s attention pulled out a ring box got down on one knee and asked me to marry him, after a what felt like forever I responded with YES!”
Let’s talk flowers! The day was styled around the tones of pink and purple, the fresh blooms by Elizabeth Anne Florist. Tells Tamara “There wasn’t really a theme but the atmosphere was very us, very naturistic. Elizabeth Anne Florist helped us when it came to our flowers and went with a white dusty pink, purple and green colour scheme”
The groom wore a Tarocash suit. “Bradon wore a light grey suit from with a plum purple shirt and dusty pink tie and pocket square from Connor, black boots from Baxter” remembers Tamara.
In what was undoubtedly one of the most special moments of the day, Tamara wore the same gown her mother did many moons ago. “I wore the same dress my mum wore when she married my dad 30 years ago – we just made a few adjustments and made it more me, I wore a brooch that had been passed down on Bradon’s side of the family – it belonged to his great grandmother. I wore eggplant purple Converse.”
Tamara and Bradon chose rustic country campground Coolac Cabins and Camping for their big day. “We stumbled across our venue while out for a casual drive on the way back we stopped in and decided to hold the whole wedding in the one place. Louise and Myles from Coolac Cabins and Camping went above and beyond to make our day so special.”
Tamara walked down the aisle on the arm of her father, her mother joining them part of the way. “Bradon said his favourite part of the day was watching me walk down the aisle” adds Tamara.
Of their ceremony, Tamara and Bradon wanted it to match the mood of the day, the bride sharing “It was very family-friendly and welcoming. Our celebrant was a school teacher of ours in primary school; we had readings of ‘Oh The Places You’ll Go’ and the one read by our mums.”
“My cousin Sallyann was my maid of honour, and cousins Stephanie and Ella (Sallyann’s daughter) were bridesmaids, Bradon had my cousin Riley (Sallyann’s son) as a best man and good friends Troy and Brenton as groomsmen, Brandon’s nephew George was our page boy, his niece Layla and my cousin Willow were our flower girls.
The girls wore dusty pink dresses from JJ’s House, the little girls wore white and purple dresses from JJ’s House, the boys wore charcoal suits from Lowes with dusty pink shirts we dyed ourselves, George wore a plum purple shirt and grey two price suit with a dusty pink tie.”
These two were so happy with their photographer choice. “Sarah is absolutely amazing, we said that if she wasn’t available for the date we picked we weren’t getting married on that day.”
Tamara lent her hand to many elements of the day, including creating a table for special people in the couple’s lives. “We had a memory table for photos of those who couldn’t be with us on our special day and I had a photo of my Pop attached to my flowers for when I walked down the aisle.”
For their first dance, Tamara and Bradon chose “Better Together” by Luke Combs.
A big congratulations to you both Tamara and Bradon! We’re so thrilled to be able to share your story. Thank you both and thank you to Sarah of De Lumiere Photography for sharing today’s celebration with us.
