For a stunning coastal boho wedding, it’s hard to go past the beaches of beautiful Sri Lanka. Roxanne & Michael chose this stunning location for their I Do’s, surrounded by friends and family. Market Lane Media was on hand to capture the magic that is their chilled boho Sir Lankan wedding day.
Roxanne and Michael met through Tinder and a shared love of pizza! Eventually, Michael surprised Rox by popping the question on Christmas Eve surrounded by their friends and family.
The bride wore a divine custom-designed Darb Couture gown for her day. She chose to carry lilies, cream roses, and orchids created by Lassana Flora.
The pair were married right on Jie Jiewent Beach surrounded by their loved ones. A special element of their day was having a poem read during the ceremony by Roxanne’s mother.
Roxanne describes their photographer, Market Lane Media, as amazing, saying that they captured the moments brilliantly and worked with the couple’s style so well.
Their reception was held at Panadura Beach Hotel, right next to the water with the setting sun, and the couple chose “Cream” by Prince to boogie on down for their first dance! Rox would describe their day as beautifully chilled and boho! The hotel they stayed at – Jie Jiewent – was amazing and went above and beyond with the hospitality.
While their whole day was truly beautiful, some of Roxanne & Michael’s favourite elements were the Moet champagne (always wonderful), good single malt whisky and lots of seafood, fireworks, and the amazing fire dancers! They also made gifts for their guests that were men and women’s sarongs – traditional Sri Lankan attire – which was really special.
Their divine wedding video was also captured by Market Lane Media and it is a stunner!
Thank you Roxanne & Michael for sharing your dreamy Sri Lankan wedding with us! And to Market Lane Media for sharing their images and video…
