Melon green, and citrus orange; if there is one thing we’re looking forward to celebrating again, it’s all those pre-wedding parties. Those times you get to gather with all of your favourite people, for a few cocktails, a beautiful brunch, and the anticipation of the big day right around the corner.
It is with that excitement, that we jumped straight onto this fun, floral and flirty pre-wedding brunch editorial. It is everything we are missing these days and so much more.
Stylist Coral of Coral & Co Events dreamt up this inspiration shoot, with Liz Barnes behind the camera. It was, as Coral admits, all about lightness, brightness and joy. “Our goal was to style and create a dining setting that feels like sunshine. We incorporated all the summery and glowing shades into everything from the flowers to the furniture, stationery, place settings, and even desserts – LOVE!”
Bold modern curved stationery (that font!) designed by The Design Planner in shades of yellow, lime and peach welcomed guests to the occasion, guided them to their seats, and shared what tipples were on offer. The table, dressed in linens from Simmons Linen Hire was adorned in fun, summery floral arrangements of fun blooms, like popping peach anthuriums & soft delicate roses, in coloured vases by The Flower District (environmentally friendly and completely foam-free). Modern daisy-shaped candles in citrus tones from Arden Events are the finishing touch.
Every celebration needs balloons – Blowout Balloons creating a fun peach balloon garland that coordinated with the similarly hued peach buttercream cake by Violet & Salt (who also styled the desserts, including pastel praline cupcakes and limoncello slices). The beauty, decorated with lemon textural edible paper and silver adorned accents, standing proud on a tiled plinth with coloured grout created by P0ly Designs.
And of course, a pre-wedding party is nothing without a fab venue – modern and beautiful Zoobibi with its arched walls and patterned tile floor just the look that was perfect for a summery celebration. The cafe serving up fresh ginger & pear smoothies that were right on point (and colour palette!).
I think we’re all in agreement, it is pretty brutal not being able to mingle at the moment, but ideas like this make us so excited for what is to come!
