It has been a love story a long time coming for Adeline and Harrison the pair meeting on a dating app in Singapore. “Both of us were nervous to meet especially since it was both our first time meeting someone through the app, but fate can surely work through a single swipe! before finding themselves drawn back to one another again and again. We were together in the same city for a year but then Harrison had to leave Singapore for work and we ended up in a long-distance relationship for four years.”
It was that time apart, that really cemented how important they are to one another. “Through those tough times, we realize how much we mean to each other and how committed we are. The desire to always find each other even though we were physically separated brings forward our core reasons too long for each other; trust, respect, and kindness.”
And today? We get to share their story, as it was, one summer Sydney day by the sea. With Born In November behind the camera, it was a relaxed, barefoot stroll that honoured their tale together.
Beautiful Singapore was where Harrison popped the big question. “Harrison proposed to me in Singapore Botanic Gardens” remembers Adeline. “It’s a special place because we made our dating relationship official in that place four years prior. Under the lush tropical trees and on a park bench, Harrison surprised me on his one knee and proposed 4 times with four rings! It was unforgettable and each ring has a special meaning for the both of us.”
One of our favourite parts about an engagement session is how it really does capture where you are at that moment in time, and these two agree. “We were living right by Bronte Beach, NSW and the beautiful coastline was our daily life at the time of the shoot. We wanted to immortalize the special days we had as an engaged couple living the best of life in one of the most beautiful coastal cities in the world. Naturally, we took photos during sunrise and with casual clothing to reflect how we always are around our area.”
Wonderful and stunning! Congratulations!
