Part of what we are loving about The Venue Issue is the concept that any space you dream of, can turn into something stunning for a wedding. The Sunshine Coast’s Yandina Station, is, of course, no stranger to a wedding, but the rustic barn setting, in the middle of the rolling hills of the countryside, does make for something truly special for a celebration.
It is with that, that today’s editorial came to life. Captured by Calli B Photography, the vision of wedding planner Lovebird Weddings set to (in lead Trudy’s words), “capturing a contemporary and delicate side of Yandina Station.” Floral designer Mondo Floral Designs working with textured white blooms like Gypsophilia, orchids, and roses. “Crisp whites for a clean, fresh base…paired with contemporary décor ” to create a stunning ceremony backdrop overlooking the country landscape, and a floral garland that adorned the white on white reception tablescape compiled with pieces from The Supper Club and Alfie’s and a romantic, yet modern hanging installation that turned the corrugated iron clad barn into something truly special.
Our model bride, adding another modern touch, donning a sparkling silver gown from Sphere a casual ponytail styled byHair By Nicola complementing the naturally toned makeup by makeup artist TF Makeup Artist – the two-piece look beautifully complementing the white on the white vibe and adding a touch of modern style inspiration to the rustic yet.
Now, the finishing touches are everything in this editorial and we’ve got to make sure you spot the amazing ruffly white wedding cake by Zoe Clark Cakes and the modern emerald green stationery pieces by Bluebird Invitations (complementing that fun martini bar!). We place weight on the details because they’re the bits and pieces that tie the look together and add a little layer of something fun, something unforgettable to your day. For this editorial, it was these details, with the textured white details and the pops of emerald green that really makes it stand out. And says Trudy “Our styling was all about modern décor and florals and a clean crisp colour palette against a rustic, country backdrop.”
Which moment do you adore the most? (gotta be that martini bar right? Imagine serving up different flavours all night long!)
