This month, we’re celebrating all kinds of red weddings. And if there is one place that knows red, it is the Northern Territory. And the most unforgettable place in the Top End? It has to be the incredible Uluru-Kata Tjuta, National Park.
When photographer Jaz Anderson of In the Mood for Love dreamt up this shoot, she wanted to inspire Aussies to look a little closer to home for their destination elopements. We’ve long spoken of hopping over to Europe, to New York, to Africa to elope, but with border restrictions and closures, what better time to celebrate our very own country?
And to be honest, what better place than Uluru? Says Jaz “This was more than just a photo opportunity… it was an adventure to the heart of Australia to experience something, unlike the norm.”
And dream Jaz did, working closely with the national park media team to ensure the shoot respected the land’s traditional owners, she created a session that celebrated the beauty of the red land.
And what does one wear to an elopement at Uluru? In the Top End? Our bride Maria Fernanda Toro wore a cute white mini dress with train from Caleche with fun white Palladium sneakers. Her look paired with Wild Charm Jewellery jewels. Groom, model Guille Cohen clad in a Friend of Franki hat.
So what do you say? Dreaming of an elopement closer to home? Let’s get into it!
