One of my favourite quotes, that of Claude Monet reads “I must have flowers, always, and always.” and today’s editorial brings an utter floral-filled dream to life. Just take a moment, will you admire that cake (it’s a design by The Sweet Society Co and I actually think it’s going to haunt my dreams tonight).
This editorial? It’s of wildflowers, of daisies, of Spring beauty, of delicate festivity and of course, captured on the first day of Spring!.
With both Chasing Moments Photography and NSI Productions behind their camera (scroll on for the film), Scenic Rim Bride on styling and Gwen Floral Co, the beautiful Tamborine Mountain venue (it’s a flower farm, how apt is that?) of Risanare Retreat set the scene for an editorial that as actually inspired by Marc Jacob’s “Daisy”. “We chose to use a colour palette that reminded us of daisies and other wildflowers, yellow and white tones were incorporated throughout the styling, cake and details,” says Terra of Chasing Moments Photography.
The bride, model Lindsey Almeroth wore a delicate flower-adorned gown designed by Ulyana Aster (who also styled Lindsey’s soft waves). Bexi Makeup Artist styling the natural makeup look and Amelie George sparkling jewels to finish the look.
Set among the trees, a light wood table, adorned with grey linens to complete the white and vibrant yellow floral details, added just the spring charm. “We wanted to create a tablescape that bought memories and warm feelings of picnic lunches during the springtime. The table was also set amongst a row of olive trees, further adding to these “picnic vibes” explains photographer Terra. Taper candles and pears added a little touch of romance. Paper pieces from The Frankie Collective and Love Notes Invitations guiding guests to their seats, and inviting them to the celebration and pulling the look together.
There is, of course, a reason that warmer weather weddings are your favourite, and today’s styled shoot leaves plenty of room to take this concept and go wild with imagination (and flowers!).
I like these ideas. The colors are muted yet they stand out from the table and the cake. Amazing tones.
