Today’s editorial is what dreams are made of. Dreams of sparkling gowns, dreams of decadent cakes, of old-world galas where silver candelabras adorned every table and modern fetes where veils glow in the light.
The work of stylist Amy of Amarti, who not only dreamt this beauty up but brought it to life, along with styling every detail and creating the lush floral details. Every curated detail captured in stills by Wylde Folk Studio and in motion by Blue Vale Films.
The flowers? Simple, but dramatic, a single bloom was chosen – gypsophila, to echo the ethereal vibe, the team sharing “The inspiration for the shoot was very much an Ethereal and Graceful in style. The beautiful walls of the Fort were definitely the main inspiration. They are soft and delicate, lending themselves to a light and romantic colour palette, but still with a bold structure and framework.”
The tablescape, a cloud in stature, topped with white linens, silver cutlery tied with dramatic black ribbons, white ceramic place settings (by Two Warm Hands) and cut crystal glassware. The crowning jewel – silver candelabras, part of the pieces supplied and styled by Alchemy Hire & Design, enhanced with tall black taper candles from Southern Lights Candle Co. Each place setting topped with calligraphed white on grey stationery, handmade by Little Green Leaf.
And then, because with every celebration comes tasty treats and tipples, comes a grazing table, the work of Conk & Co. An abundance of cheeses, fruits and of course, gin and champagne laid out for guests to enjoy.
Our bride, Emma Phillips, donned her version of whimsy, a stunning gown with a soft romantic silhouette, the work of Nardia Panettiere Couture. A loosely swept up-do and natural makeup styled by Jade Russell with Little White Couture adding sparkling jewels.
And the cake! I have no doubt you’ve dreamed over the stunning cakes by Marina Machado Cakes on Instagram just like us, so it completely makes sense that Marina created beauty for this editorial. It sits grand and romantic, its own focal point and its own piece of art.
Every image of this look, reveals more beauty than the next, and that dreamlike feeling, is so very much on purpose, tell the team. “The style of the shoot was delicate and light but structured. A mix of soft fabrics, light colour tones focusing in on whites and greys to complement the walls of the location. The result was a graceful and ethereal style. Modern but timeless.”
