If you ever dismissed the idea of a winter wedding due to lack of colourful blooms, I have to say, that today’s editorial is going to change your mind. We promise.
Set in the stunning Southern Highlands at the ever beautiful country retreat of The Rift, Bowral. Our dream team pulled together an editorial that is headed up by photographer Clarzzique Photography and stylist Lil Elements . This was a setting that was about a “simple and intimate” wedding that made the most of its country surrounds. A cascading, colourful floral garland installed by Floral Story Design blending peach, pink and purple blooms while honouring the soft tones of the cooler season – the same look carried through a beautiful bouquet and table centrepiece. A stationery suite by calligrapher Ainamytokyo carrying those same tones from the invitation to the place cards, weaving the colours throughout each moment of the day.
Stylist Marie noting of the team’s inspiration “Winter is upon us with the weather being unpredictable just like Spring season. Sometimes we wish for a sunny bright day and think the cold or rain could ruin your special day. But did you know that a cold rainy day could also be as beautiful and ethereal just like any other summer or spring shoot?”
There were sweet floral touches throughout the shoot too – key rings and floral frames thanks to Vild Welcome Board, a sign and wishing well from Dear Universe Creative and the ever essential for a romantic wedding – ring box and silk ribbon from Artiste Saku.
Our bride, model Selina Goodwin carried off two romantic looks with hair and makeup styled by Cindy Chan, complementing a beautiful white gown and that stunning, unforgettable gown of duck egg blue, both by Tanya Anic.
The cooler seasons hold much magic indeed, you just need to know where to look.
