Georgia & Josh

As we bid farewell to The City Issue, we had to come one last time to our love of all things urban. And today that comes in the form of this relaxed, this romantic and this beautiful Adelaide city engagement captured by Will & Co Photography.

It starts at home, the couple making pancakes together, just as they’ve done many times before. “The style really appealed to us as we spend most of our downtime at home and as such wanted our photos to reflect who we are in an environment that we felt most like ourselves” explains Georgia.

And then, they donned their street clothes and headed out for a wander along Adelaide’s streets, using the beautiful buildings and urban corners as their backdrop, to make the beginning of the next chapter of their lives together.

It seems, that this relationship has been many years in the making, and before we share their engagement photos, we’re handing over to Georgia to tell the story of how these two came to be. “We grew up in the same small town three hours north of Adelaide and were known to each other but didn’t get to really know each other until we both lived in the city.”

“It’s hard to pinpoint the exact reason I love Georgia” shares Josh. “But I do know that I love her endlessly, that she will always be there and that my favourite part of the day is when I wake up next to her in the morning.”

On Josh, Georgia shares “I love that Josh strives to make each day our best yet. He is the most thoughtful person. I pinch myself knowing I get to spend the rest of my life by his side!”

“As old souls trapped in a couple of 20-something bodies we are generally pretty measured people” laughs the bride to be. “However, we spend all of our time either with a smile and are constantly making each other laugh.”

Josh popped the question on an utterly romantic holiday, tells Georgia. “We got engaged as the sun was coming up on the first morning of our trip to the Maldives last November.”

Turns out, a wedding isn’t all that life has in store for these two, who reveal “There has been a slight delay in the wedding time frame with a baby on the way – however, we are going to be aiming to tie the knot officially early 2022.”

Adelaide providing a picturesque backdrop for Georgia and Josh’s weekend stroll. “Being a quiet day in the CBD we were fortunate to make the most of having most spaces to ourselves!” they tell.
