It takes a lot of grit, a lot of stamina for a wedding business to survive for twenty years, but this year, Australian designer Karen Willis Holmes has done just that. This year celebrating two glorious decades of dressing Australian brides as they walk down the aisle. Today, we celebrate with the brand’s 2020 Wild Hearts collection, entitled “Dreamers”.

Inspired by “the free spirit, romance and celebrating the women who love to be in love”, “Dreamers ” is filled with the modern silhouettes that are on-trend, but utterly beautiful. There are intricate laces, and transparent chiffons that glow with golden light. There are pearl adorned veils, and accessories that can be added to each gown – like toppers, trains and capes, that truly customise the gowns to their wearer’s personal style.

Set against a tropical Bali villa, photographer Gretl Watson-Blazewicz brought this collection to life, showing just how easily these gowns transform from beachside nuptials to cityscape celebrations.

There’s “Imogen” a fitted, v neck gown that is beautifully complemented by the statement bow-adorned train of “Isabella”. “Ebony” with her high boat neck bodice and statement bell sleeves. Boho loving brides will adore “Millie” made of chevron lace and featuring frilled lace edge sleeves and tassel adorned ties.

Designer Karen noting “In every collection, I always want to show off and highlight a woman’s shape in the best way possible and for the DREAMERS collection, I pictured our bride as young, carefree and adventurous yet remaining very feminine and strong.”
