Give me hues of yellow, and I’ll be completely smitten, just as I am with today’s beautifully created boho festival wedding inspiration.
Set at beautiful Queensland country venue Riverwood Weddings, today’s dream team combined beautiful shades of yellow, dusky pink and burnt oranges with everything old and new.
Poppy and Sage was there to capture the romantic festival vibe, which began with coral peach stationery pieces designed by Wish Boutique Stationery. The pieces beautifully matched by silk ribbons and a ring box from Heirloom Bride and a decadent tiered cake by Cake House, which has it’s own shining moment, in a rowboat filled with fresh blooms.
Celebrant Roxy Hotten, who “married” our happy couple, shared “Visually, we wanted to create a wedding shoot which was romantic and bohemian, with a relaxed, festival-type feel.
It was also important for us to create something which showed diversity within the wedding industry. The festival backdrop was perfect to capture the love between our real-life couple, Nick and Freya. Having the privilege of working with our groom Nick, who is a Quadriplegic, and to showcase that diversity within the wedding industry was key.”
Stylist Magnolia Studios created a beautiful outdoor country ceremony setting, working with MaryPoppies Floral Art Studio to adorn their circular backdrop in fresh yellow and white blooms in stunningly romantic arrangements, They said their vows, with Roxy as their guide, exchanging rings by My Jewellery Shop.
And once the vows were said, our newlyweds were led to their Glamping Hire Co tipi reception, filled with furniture pieces from Scenic Rim Wedding Hire. A bright and beautiful bar by Rambling Rose Pop Up Bar and a beautiful grazing table by Temptation Platters inviting guests to tuck in, while our newlywed s soaked it all in.
And as for those models, Nick and Freya let’s talk about what they wore. Freya dressed in a beautifully romantic gown from Oscar & Ivy Bridal, her hair and makeup styled by Goddess Makeup Design and her look finished with jewels by Eden (a not-for-profit organisation who reach, rescue, and restore women coming out of human trafficking). A Crystal Dreamz by Ali crystal crown a gorgeous addition for the hairpiece, complementing Nick’s own crystal boutonniere.
And of course, because we’re all about the boho today, she topped it with a totally on-trend denim jacket form Azul Vintage Denim.
It was a beautiful country celebration, that ticked all the boxes of beauty, romance, and so much inspiration to steal for your own big day, But this shoot carried the weight of so much more – inclusivity in the wedding industry, and that? That is always worth making beautiful.
Wow wow!! So stylish and well, congratulations to the team involved xx
