Honest truth? I cannot pick a favourite when it comes to the new “Sunset In Rose” collection from wedding gown designers Watters. And with fifteen beautiful gowns, that are as dreamy, ad as on point as one would expect from a label that has stood the test of time, I know you’ll understand why.
“Sunset In Rose” was inspired by the soft pinky hued light of sunset. The beauty evoked through dreamy, feminine designs that play off clean lines, raw edges and beautiful sophistication. Also drawing style elements from lingerie, lace is sheer, layered and positioned on each gown to be utterly feminine, scalloped edges are left untouched, bows are added and necklines dropped – it’s all a little bit sensual while playing off the chic, elegant style.
My picks, “Frederique” features a three quarter length sleeve floral lace bodice, coupled with a gorgeous floaty tulle skirt, while the above-pictured gown “Jourdan”, with its illusion overlay, allows the lace to be considered for a gown’s embellishment in an entirely new way. Oh and there is something in store for the bride to be who is lace averse too. “Kitt” a chic unadorned satin gown with a scoop neckline, that lets the beautiful fabric do all the talking. There’s also the modern, “Hunter” with her high neck and gorgeous cowl back detail.
And the best part? Like all Watters gowns, gowns are available in a range of colour combinations (pick your lining, pick your lace shade!) and go up to a US size 24.
Watters is available at stockists around Australia – including our much loved Moonstruck Bride. “Sunset In Rose” launches US Spring 2020.
