Here’s the thing about wedding gown collections at Polka Dot Bride. We love them, we adore them. We dream about them, we plan another ten thousand weddings for ourselves just to wear them.
And when the brand new “La Europa” collection from Australian designers L’eto Bridal landed on our desks, well let’s just say, those dreams haven’t stopped.
Under the watchful eye of Russian born, Australian grown designer Anya Ostapenko has set her sights squarely on taking traditional silhouettes and reimagining them into contemporary gowns for brides to be with a signature sense of style.
Shot at the breathtaking Chateau de Villete (Destination wedding venue anyone?) “La Europa” delivers an eight-piece collection of gowns brimming with utter beauty. There is as, as the bride remarks ” effortless representation of elegance”. Gowns are feminine, they’re romantic but they’re also contemporary, considered and stunningly curated. There are beautiful details- oversize bows, pearl straps. skirts of knife leats that turn what might be considered classic bridal into something totally new.
Picture (picture above) is my favourite, a gown adorned in twinkling white on white crystal embroidery, Piec 27, a silk satin jumpsuit with statement bishop sleeves also on my must-wear wishlist.
There’s also the ability to mix and match separates- Piece 30 a capsule collection within itself, allowing to create your own look with a chic strapless gown, adding or removing, modern details like dramatic flared sleeves or ethereal beaded capes.
This is the collection, that, like choosing the grandeur and lush chateau backdrop, says the team, is dedicated to their muses “The women of the world who know how to appreciate the finer things of life and everything in between.”
L’eto Bridal “La Europa” is available via the website, L’eto’s Newport store or stockists Mrs Fray, and Your Art Bridal.
