Maya & Tayfun

Victoria’s rugged coastline is a sight to behold, and for Maya and Tayfun, their engagement session captured right at the most golden hour of sunset by photographer Carla Antonia was just the meeting of the minds they needed to share their story.

It was a blossoming friendship for these two that laid the foundation for something so much more. “We met through a mutual friend in 2013 and we started as friends” remembers Maya. “We started dating in the two years later. We felt like it was the right time in our life that we both met up again and hit things off from there.. things happened at the right time for a reason!”

What does this bride to be love about her future husband? Maya shares “I love that he is such a loving boy that has a kind heart and have the best sense of humour.” And Tayfun on Maya? “She’s always making me smile and I can be my self every time I’m with her.”

Tayfun popped the question in the Dandenongs, as the pair were surrounded by candlelight. Maya remembering “Tayfun had a proposal planned at the Olinda gardens where he set up a romantic proposal with a candlelight dinner with candles and red roses all around the garden during sunset. It was the perfect set up! He said that we were going to his friend’s garden wedding when it turned out to be the proposal. He had me surprised and it was so unexpected. It was the best surprise proposal I could ever dream of.”
