The Australian bush is like no place on earth,. It holds a special kind of magic, a special mood, that seems to just be ripe for beautiful inspiration.

So today we’re absolutely delighted to share a vow renewal that made the most of this very setting. Stonebarn a Truffle Farm in Pemberton, in the South West of Western Australia just the ticket for an intimate celebration of a love that’s stayed burning bright.

Conceived by wedding stylist and floral designer Erica of DUO Events Creative Studio, the team took to the farm to create their setting. An amazing floral backdrop of vibrant yellow wattle entwined with a fallen tree, the centrepiece, and contrasting beautifully with the bride’s (Emi Valentine) beautiful blue gown from Mohican Store. As Erica, hair braided in a romantic style by Mali Hair and Makeup and makeup styled by  Annie Giacomel Makeup Artist) and her groom Steve (Steve Valentine) said their vows, they read from custom-designed vow booklets created in deep marsala and primrose yellow designed by Lala Design.

Photographer Mrs Gardiner, who captured it all sharing “We wanted Emi and Steve to feel as close to nature as possible and to most importantly feel comfortable. We asked both Emi and Steve (a real couple of 10 years) to write their own vows and it was so emotional when they spoke them to each other! The ease in which they support each other and what they feel for each other was palatable; quiet happiness. There was much laughter, joking and personal whispers in the lead up to their vows, yet once they both spoke their vows they settled, both were emotive and heartfelt.”

To celebrate this recommitment, we know there needs to be a feast and Tapasman created an amazing grazing table bountiful with local produce – fresh fruit, plenty of cheese, nuts, dips and other tasty morsels. A table for two set with dusky pink tones, brass and crystal set from against the natural wooden tabletop from Hire In Style.

And to honour the bride’s love of vintage cars, the two farewelled their guests in pure vintage style, Mr Mustang Hire transporting our newly re-weds to the property’s lookout in a classic 1960 mustang, finishing the day with a walk through the trees.

“The team really wanted the style of this shoot to be as natural as possible so we could really focus on the couple’s vibe and the purpose of a Vow Renewal (to be all about the couple, their love, “commitment and their words)” explains Erica.  “We use the word natural to represent the earthy untouched landscape, sweeping views, simple fresh makeup and loosely braided (messy) hair. Food from the earth (berries, fruits, nuts and authentically made dishes presented in a grazing style), the natural-looking materials like linens, the crinkled dress and textured paper for stationery.”

And with The Invitation Issue in mind, we needed to dive into that beautiful paper suite designed by  Lala Design. In a beautiful mustard yellow and marsala red, the suite was designed to reflect the colours and tones of the surrounding landscape. Hand-drawn calligraphy contrasting with dreamy watercolour details inviting guests to celebrate an occasion of “Five years and counting…” and here, my friends is to many more.
