Today we’re inviting you to enjoy three of the very best things in life. Lemons, butter, and vodka! Sometimes the best things in life, are also the most simple. And when you combine this trio? Pure cocktail magic.
The sprawling TarraWarra Estate in the Yarra Valley, has kindly shared this spritely, buttery drink recipe with us for ‘The Invitation issue‘. I mean, how could you possibly turn down an invitation that promised a batch of these divinely-scented babies on arrival? We’d also say “yes, please” to the estate’s lush 400 acres of vineyard, its stone-hewn subterranean cellar door and – of course – its prime Chardonnay. Now which lucky 80 guests are you going to invite along to your big celebration for a martini toast here?
Lemon Butter Martini by TarraWarra Estate
- 60ml 666 Butter Vodka
- 1/8 lemon skin (minus pith)
- Lemon balm leaf, to garnish
Chill a martini glass by placing it in the fridge or filling it with ice. In a mixing glass, add the lemon skin and butter vodka and muddle. Add ice to the lemon vodka mixture and stir to chill, being careful not to “bruise” the mixture (ie. be a bit gentle). Remove the chilled martini glass from the fridge or discard ice. Double strain the mixture into the martini glass and garnish with a lemon balm leaf.
