There is something about Australian (and New Zealand) designers and a special kind of charm they possess, and it’s evidently true with the beautiful new “Eden” collection from New Zealand born, Sydney living designer Ivonn Aranui and her couture label IVONN Couture.

“Eden” speaks of feminine whimsy. The collection filled with ballgowns with billowing skirts, beautiful twinking floral embroidery, delicate applied leaves and shimmering sparkle. Each gown is carefully crafted to layer unique elements and deliver its own carefully considered style.  There are of course nods to everything modern too – beautifully exposed backs, off the shoulder necklines, sleeves and of course show stopping lace.

The “Eden” collection,  of course, was aptly captured in a gorgeous garden.Photographer Sonja Cenic collaborating with floral designer  Le Fleur By Chloe and model Nicole, whose hair and makeup was styled by Katrina Bonafeadding, hairpieces from  Viktoria Novak and Alan Pinkus to bring the collection to life.

With so many beautiful designs, you’d be forgiven in thinking this is a designer that you just haven’t heard of – but it’s only the second collection from this designer and we can only but imagine all that is to come.
