We love, love, love when wedding vendors collaborate and today’s dream team came up with something completely modern and unexpected in a way that is sure to inspire any modern, industrial loving couple out there.
Headed up photographer The Wedding Fair and stylist Short & Spook with the lovely Moonstruck Bride, the team took to the industrial Abbotsford warehouse Small Talk Event Space to create an editorial that “would inspire couples to turn the blank canvas venue into something of their own imagination”.
Using a colour palette of soft greys, blush pink, raspberry and lilac, the team adorned the space with a hanging floral canopy, designed by Little Lady Blooms, a soft pastel-painted, layered cake of delicious strawberry and champagne, by Miss Ladybird Cakes, and a hand-cut paper backdrop crafted by Curated Events. Each detail blends together the beauty of the pastel, modern styling of the day.
Long tables, topped with linens from Simmons Linen Hire, were decorated with raw crystals, glass terrariums and sparkling candlelight for a little magic. Opaque, grey vessels held fresh pink flowers, complemented by the height of golden taper candlesticks. Playing off the crystal styling of the day, crystal-infused drinks from Madame Dry topped a modern bar setup, inviting guests to drink up!
Our newlyweds took centre stage, our bride, dressed in a dreamy tulle and lace gown and donning a sparkling crystal crown from Moonstruck Bride, finished beautifully by the hair and makeup artist Kerri Harvey. Her look was complemented by a bouquet of fresh spring blooms of pastel hues as the pair married in front of an acrylic backdrop that tied into the modern styling of the day.
