It has been a long time since we’ve featured a beautiful boudoir session on Polka Dot Bride, but there was something peaceful and beautiful about this winter bridal boudoir editorial that struck our cold weather loving souls.
Photographer Odd Socks Society teamed up with hair and makeup artist Elyse Thomas, floral designer State of Nature Floral Studio and models Mirna Imsirovic and Angela Laird set up the scene at the historic Ascot House to capture the beauty that unfolds as a bride to be prepares for the wedding day.
Using beautiful Galia Lahav gowns and accessories from Eternal Bridal, jewels from Halo & Hurt and stunning lingerie pieces from Cara Mia Mine Lingerie, the team worked to capture the beauty of Winter while making the most of thoughtful, special touches that unfold in the moments before the aisle.
Floral designer Lauren sharing “As a floral stylist, I wanted to bring together unique vendors and create a unique, non-traditional and timeless depiction of beauty, romance and elegance.
A wedding day can be one of the most sacred and special days a person may experience. The preparation, thoughtfulness, special touches and anticipation that happens prior to the wedding is not often captured. Titled ‘Grace’, this shoot is moody and romantic and seeks to take old-world classic components of a bride on her wedding day, and overlay that with modern elements to create a timeless, elegant and sophisticated story.”
