We love nothing more than acknowledging the seasons around the offices of Polka Dot Bride, and this beautiful Autumn shoot from this team brought to life beautiful Autumnal beauty in the most flower-filled ways! Catherine of Gathered Floral is going to talk us through!

The shoot took place on a warm Autumn day at The Secret Garden, Southern Highlands. This venue has many different garden rooms and we captured just a few of them on the day.

I was inspired by the trend of very soft, old world and ‘old masters’ inspired florals. The theme was Ethereal Bride and we hoped to capture light movements, delicate gracefulness and elegance.

The gown is a two-piece separate made from repurposed vintage lace and blush silk. The top can be worn again for other special occasions, such as the first wedding anniversary. Dress designer, Pearl Button Bridal is passionate about creating ethical garments that have a light touch on the earth.

Ms Polka Says” What a beautiful nod to the beautiful Autumnal blooms this shoot is!  We’re so used to seeing dark jewel tones, that the softer, blush colours are so lovely!
