“Girls aren’t very good at keeping maps in their brains,” said Edmund, “That’s because we’ve got something in them,” replied Lucy.” ― C.S. Lewis, The Chronicles of Narnia.
In Narnia, there is magic. There are stories of whimsy, of the unimaginable, of make-believe come true.
It was this that inspired the team behind today’s editorial to let their minds create a Narnian wonderland. The sweetest of sailboats delivered our littlies to a secret land where beautiful blooms, sweet treats and four-legged friends all come to play. Our sweet girls Raffaela, Lara, Liliana and Emilia wore Samantha Wynne Design dresses with butterfly details and soft tones of blue, pink and cream. The cute details beautifully add just the right amount of whimsy. They were dolled up with The Pretty Parlour, wearing Kezani hairpieces and jewels and danced the day away with live music from Madeleine Antoine and McKenzie Richardson of the West Australian Opera Company Philharmonic Orchestra.
Led by Samantha Wynne Design, at the beautiful Brookleigh Estate, Shenae Rose Stills + Motion and Reilly Stewart Photography set about capturing the childlike wonder of the setting.
A tablescape by Side Serve Perth was topped with fresh flowers by Michelle Mok who also did the fabulous styling for the shoot, a gorgeous array of cakes and treats by Cake Love Perth and detailed stationery pieces from Jess Is Jam.
Samantha tells, “The inspiration behind the shoot for me, was the discovery of these gorgeous fabrics, my love of all things pretty, mysterious stories and for young girls having aspirations and not being afraid to go and explore them!”
