If vineyards and pizza are your ideas of a good time, then you need to meet Zonzo Estate. With a working vineyard (and delicious wine) it has all the charm of an Italian rustic farm venue, right down to the gorgeous barrel room (popular for a wedding ceremony or two!). Melbourne venue Farm Vigano was born out of rich Italian culture. Begun by Mario Vigano of Melbourne Italian restaurant history Mario’s, the space is filled with Italian charm – from the bright yellow and white striped awning to a menu filled with local produce and Italian sharing style cuisine. Lavandula Swiss Italian Farm (VIC)
If visions of Italian lavender fields are your dream when it comes to wedding venue then the beautiful Lavandula Swiss Italian Farm was made for you. The European Style gardens will take your breath away (especially when the lavender is blooming). See it in action here.
Oakleigh Vigneto and Fattoria (NSW)
With a stunning homestead inspired by Italian, a beautiful vineyard and Oakleigh Vigneto and Fattoria have a working vineyard, onsite accommodation and plenty of room for a big marquee. They’ll even lend you their vintage Fiats for your wedding day transport!
The beautiful Casuarina venue of Osteria Casuarina was meant to be an Italian-inspired meeting place for the community and now? It’s a gorgeous modern space with a modern Italian-inspired menu, a blank canvas space and a focus on sustainable, organic produce. See it in our features here.
Tuscan-inspired celebrations? Here we come to Olivigna! Owned and run by an Italian couple. the venue makes the most of the Mediterranean countryside with its Italian style villa, orange grove, vineyard and cobblestone pizza. There’s even a bocce court for a little cocktail hour fun! Every part of Olivigna will have you mistaken for thinking you’re not actually in Australia at all.
Italian-inspired venue Redleaf is set amongst the gorgeous country landscape, which while drawing inspiration from French Provincial styling, has a distinct Italian country house vibe. The house itself has plenty of accommodation, while the surrounding European-inspired gardens make way for a beautiful setting for your Italian-inspired wedding. The beautiful Villa Parma is filled with history. The sweetest venue is now part of a larger hotel complex in a quaint country town, so you’ll find all the charm of Italy, with the amenities of a larger operation. My pick for a romantic reception? The candlelit cellar was built in 1864.
Stefano Lubiana Wines & Osteria (TAS)
Stefano Lubiana Wines & Osteria has the most beautiful Tuscan inspired hardens and vine-covered pergolas that are all about that hot, relaxed Italian vibe. Seating up to 80 in their dining room and palazzo, this venue serves up Italian fare right down to the Tiramisu dessert. Located in South Brisbane.
For the urban lovers. Fatto has every ounce of chic urban Italian style. The menu is a modern take on Italian favourites, while the decor, is minimal yet speaks of its Italian flavour. White subway tile. black accents, chalkboard menus and modern neon cantina style signage.
